Overview

Established in 1997 as a Dowa Japan business unit, Dowa THT America, Inc. provides the customer a state of the art heat treatment environment, with fully automated carburizing and nitriding furnaces. Dowa's treated automotive parts are tested daily in our quality laboratory to ensure specified hardness requirements and the guarantee of consistent results.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Administrator will have responsibility for the following:

  • Preparation and processing for the bi-weekly payroll and a monthly payroll.
  • Maintenance and change actions for ADP Workforce Now, including reporting, new hires, terminations, etc.
  • Management and facilitation of the new hire onboarding process.
  • Maintenance of position descriptions.
  • Authoring of the quarterly company newsletter.
  • Managing the company uniform program with Cintas.
  • Planning company events a couple times per year.
  • Projects as assigned.
  • Maintain the I-9 process and document control.
  • Assisting with staffing and recruitment as is needed.
  • Support for the EHS Manager.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in an HR function.
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field of study.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Must have working experience with a payroll/HRIS such as ADP Workforce Now, Paycor, Workday, etc.
  • Active HR certification  or a desire to obtain a certification.
  • A proficient working knowledge of compliance law.
  • A knowledge and respect for the nuances of a small company.  Our headcount is under 100 and we operate on a 24/7 basis.
  • A diligent desire for accuracy, a character of integrity and agility in managing and completing projects.

This compensation range for this role is $63,000 to $70,000 (DOE).
