Responsibilities

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Floating Production Supervisor will:

 

  1. Provide coaching, training, staffing, and performance management for direct subordinates (1-3).
  2. Provide coverage on any shift where the Production Supervisor is absent or vacant.
  3. Ensure anticipated production needs are met.
  4. Provide production updates regarding departmental/shift performance; equipment status, and maintenance issues.
  5. Identify efficiency and performance gaps, presenting and implementing a remediation plan.
  6. Create a cross training strategy and schedule to accommodate fluctuating labor shortages.
  7. Monitor and enforce all appropriate safety guidelines, creating a culture of continuous awareness and compliance.
  8. Audit customer materials prior to shipment to ensure accuracy.
  9. Plan and generate recipes/production documentation required for customer materials.
  10. Provide cross shift coverage and/or extended hours as is necessary.

This is a Floating Supervisor role, which demands flexibility in changing shifts with little notice at times.  

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

 

  • A High School education or equivalent. 
  • Five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of three years as a Production Supervisor or Lead.
  • A willingness to float between shifts and weekdays to weekends.

Compensation for this position is targetted between $68,000 and $73,000 DOE.  In addition, we offer 3 weeks of PTO to start, a zero deductible health care plan, dental, vision, STD/LTD, Life, accident coverage, serious illiness, identify theft and a 401(k) with a match.  Our Supervisor team seeks someone who is reliable, has integrity and is a positive contributor.  A comprehensive background check and 9 panel drug test is required post offer.
